Leah Chase served as Executive Chef Emeritus at Dooky Chase's Restaurant, the legendary New Orleans Creole institution founded in 1941. Widely regarded as a pioneering figure in Creole cuisine, she helped transform the family restaurant into a celebrated cultural landmark and gathering place for civil rights leaders, musicians, and presidents.
